Nestled on the Costa del Azahar (or Orange Blossom Coast) we find one of Spain’s best kept secrets… Alcossebre.
Tucked away between Mount Irta and Mount Murs, Alcossebre is flanked by beautiful sandy beaches and turquoise sea on one side and surrounded by three natural Parks, Sierra Irta, Prat de Torrenostra-Cabanes and The Columbretes Islands. The scenery is simply idyllic!
In addition to the stunning surroundings there are also great tourist and cultural attractions to discover such as, The Castle of Xivert, typical chapels, watchtowers, The Church of Alcala de Xivert and The Parish Museum with its slender bell tower.
Not only does Alcossebre offer all the attributes for a relaxing beach holiday, for the sporty types water activities can be practised in the School of Sailing and Sports Port.
There is also a network of trails and mountain bike routes for the more adventurous amongst us.
Or you may like to broaden your horizons by taking a day trip to one of the near-by town such as, Peniscola, Morella, Villafames and Castelleon.
